Second generation DTRASH legacy artist KETCHCO (formerly Venom8888, VXXKXX, VXXXK, Vloda Techk, among other names) is back with his final Dtrash release 'SHTF', which acts as a bridge between his Venom8888 project and his last DTRASH188 release "Fleshy Tech". Whereas the last recording was meant as "meditational noise" SHTF is more "user friendly" subversive harsh experimental sound art inspired by today's current inverted timeline reality.
As he has been known in the past as the boy who cried wolf when it comes to making "final" recordings, this one is in fact the end of an era, and the last recording for this online label.
His first release here was DTRASH024 Venom8888/Level8888 back in the year 2000 so he feels 23 years is enough online audio subversion and experimentation for one man to take. While he always approached his audio projects as 'Sound Art' often times it gets confused with the overtly trendy over used, over played genre of 'Noise music' so popular that everyone including their grandmothers make. Another reason why he is retiring from continuing on. The playing field is filled with too many posers, identity politic creatures and hangers on.
He will be focusing exclusively on his visual art.
Keep clear and stay weird.
