Canadian electronic musician SCHIZOID releases this retrospective collection celebrating 25 years of fury!

SCHIZOID music is inspired by late 90s digital hardcore but given a unique approach with its tendency towards metal & punk, differentiating the act from other acts with an emphasis on screamed vocals, nihilist lyrics, live/sampled guitars and a preference towards faster/blastbeat tempos.

Material included comes from the experimental noise gabber debut "Enough Is Enough", the pure digital hardcore "All Things Are Connected", the blackened industrial of "The Next Extreme" and the black metal inspired "Pariah", along with other compilation/b-side tracks for Disc 1.

Disc 2 (via bandcamp) will showcase remixes SCHIZOID compiled of artists like ATARI TEENAGE RIOT, AGNOSTIC FRONT, CANDIRU, SOULSTORM, SMP as well as fellow D-TRASHers like HANSEL, KNAR, NWODTLEM, THE PHOERON.

One of the first acts to join net-label D-TRASH Records, SCHIZOID eventually wound up in the drivers seat of label management, giving the international scene a platform through which to release this kind of music. While appearing primarly on D-TRASH, SCHIZOID also appeared on releases from DIGITAL HARDCORE, INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH, UNDERGROUND INC, INVASION WRECKCHORDS. Not originally intended as a live act, SCHIZOID went on to perform on bills with MELT BANANA, EC8OR, MERZBOW, FAXED HEAD, HANZEL UND GRETEL, SOULSTORM, ANAAL NATHRAKH.

This compilation features a fresh remastering sound in 2023 by HYPERDRIVER, featuring the most notable moments of SCHIZOID to date.
